About me

8 years in Japan
I moved to Tokyo in 2003 to gain life experience and started out teaching English. Soon after, I ran my own design studio for six years, working with clients in music, fashion, corporates, and education.

My first “real job”
After Tokyo, I wanted studio experience and daily collaboration. I returned to Australia and joined Trout Creative Thinking, a small studio in Collingwood.

Dipping my toes in the corporate pond
From Trout, I shifted to an in-house role at NAB, where I worked across web and motion design. I transitioned into UX/UI, combining my curiosity of human behaviour with design. After this I then worked at EnergyAustralia as UX creative lead.

Immersing myself in end to end, at scale
I joined the ACTU in 2019, focusing on two major projects from research and strategy through to UX and final design. This role allowed me to apply a broad range of skills across the full design process.

Right here, right now
Recently, I’ve focused on work with a positive social impact. From workplace safety and workers’ rights at ACTU, to saving lives at Australia Red Cross Lifeblood, to improving access to education at Federation University, I’ve helped organisations embrace user-first design to reach their goals.
